RGIII Points the Finger

The Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, better known as RGIII, was a breakout college football star. According to Wikipedia, he played for Baylor University in and went on to win the coveted Heisman Trophy in 2011. He was the second pick in the 2012 draft, chosen by the struggling Redskins. He had a memorable year his rookie year of the NFL. Most of the time the first season for a quarterbacks is full of slow ventures, and many have not been as privileged to accomplish the things he did early on.

He became injured towards the end of the 2012 season which set him back in the 2013. Now onto 2014, with the fans rallied behind him and his teammates support, this was going to be his winning year. But once again, injury set him back. He just returned and already is causing a stir and not because of great performances.

NFL.com reports that after losing the game Sunday to the infamously bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Griffin did the unthinkable. He blamed his teammates. This is not something a young quarterback wants to do. He should take the blame for his bad performance and move on, not blame those around him. This will not earn him the respect of his fellow players. As a leader of the team, he needs to learn he will have bad games and he needs to rise above, not point the finger. RGIII definitely has some maturing to do before he can become a success in the football community both with his fans and his teammates.
